About Search Experience
I keep seeing the same thing. Organic traffic holds steady, sometimes even grows, and the pipeline coming out of it thins anyway.
AI engines are absorbing the questions that used to end in a click. Some companies show up in those answers; most don’t, and the reasons aren’t what people assume. There’s a lot of confident writing about this, and very little of it is built on anything measured.
This is where I write down what the data shows instead.
What you’ll find here
Most of this comes out of client work rather than reading. The recurring themes:
Why organic traffic and pipeline stop moving together, and what’s actually breaking in between
What AI engines cite, which sources they favor, and what earns a mention
How entity clarity affects whether a model can recommend you at all
Where the received wisdom about AI search fails against data
Diagnostics: how to tell whether a visibility problem is technical, editorial, or structural
Periodic original research, like the 1,739 AI citations study, with methodology attached
Who writes it
I’m Pratik Dholakiya. I run Growfusely, a B2B SEO and AI search visibility firm, and I’ve been working in search for over fifteen years.
The only credential that matters here is exposure. Most of my week is spent inside companies, either through Growfusely or advising teams directly, which means I see the same things repeating long before anyone gets around to publishing them.
Who it’s for
Anyone who owns organic demand at a B2B company. Founders, marketing leaders, and the in-house teams doing the work.
Increasingly, investors too, looking at businesses whose value depends on organic traffic still showing up in three years. That question got a lot harder recently, and not many people are answering it well.
What I won’t write
No news roundups, no predictions about where AI is headed, no tactics borrowed from someone else’s newsletter. If I haven’t seen it happen or measured it myself, it doesn’t go in.
When
Thursdays. Some weeks it’s five hundred words about one thing I noticed. Some weeks it’s a lot more. The day doesn’t change.
